                                                                               TRAINING

Our study group emphasizes on the natural movement of Taijutsu (body skill).
The use of distancing, timing and a relaxed body is emphasized in every class.
The Sanshin Kata is of high important in our Dojo, as its the foundation of
Taijutsu.

We incorporate Dakentaijutsu (striking skills) with this soft, relaxed feeling
to generate true and natural power from the whole body.

With these two elements we bring into our studies Jutaijutsu, which is the
use of joint locks, throws, strangles and chokes. The study of these three core
structures, we can then apply true control of an adversary.

The most important and highly stressed skilled is Taihenjutsu (rolling,
falling and leaping). Taihenjustsu is for the safety of every student in every day
life. We studyUkemi to have the freedom to fall and counter techniques
without pain or fear of the fall.

After all the fundamentals are practised, we move onto multi attacks, unarmed
and armed. These armed attacks maybe with various weapons from
various positions.

Bujinkan has various weapons on which we examine in depth. These
weapons include: Bojutsu 6ft, Hanbojutsu 3ft, Kenjutsu (sword) Daisho
(two swords) Sojutsu spear, Naginatajutsu (halberd), Ningu (ninja weapons
& tools) Shuriken (throwing blades), Kusari (chain), Kusarigama ( Chain &
sickle) Nawa ( rope), Tessen (iron fan), Jutte (old truncheon) Kakushi Buki
(hidden weapons) Knife (knife).

The Bujinkan is not a sport or competition. All members of our class should
give respect to each other in and outside of the Dojo.
